Steve Woodward studied Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal and has been a New Zealand resident since 1986. His particular love is for large, site specific, public works.
He has exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions, including in China, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Thailand and New Caledonia.
Local works include the Olympic Park Bridge in New Lynn and Spinning Tiers Here at Sculpture on the Gulf, and as the lead artist on the re-design of St Patrick’s Cathedral Square in central Auckland. Woodward’s large dog from the inaugural Sculpture in the Gardens Kuri Topiary is now located at Hobsonville Point.
Woodward lives and works in Auckland.
